The visionary behind Gifts with Grace, Nita Wilkinson is a founding member of the ministry and serves on the Board of Directors. With a deep compassion for women, especially those struggling to find post-trauma stability, Nita envisioned a faith-based ministry that would address such a need. Originally from Delaware County, Nita has been a resident of Logan County for more than 20 years and has spent most of her life as an advocate for community outreach and involvement.
Nita started working in the non-profit industry in 2001, championing needed resources in the community. She currently serves as the director of strategic partnerships for Green Hills Community, running the volunteer program and elder wellness program. Throughout her career, Nita has developed a wide variety of skills, including marketing and fund development, growing revenue, public speaking, writing, event planning, project management, public relations, and the whole person wellness philosophy.
Nita graduated from Buckeye Valley High School and attended The Ohio State University. She is certified as an AFP fund development professional and in fall risk management.
Nita has a long history of community leadership, serving on several boards, including the United Way of Logan County, the John M. and Margaret Hilliker YMCA, the Logan County Aging Council and the United Way allocations committee. She currently serves as membership chair of the Women United Board, and a board member of both the Logan County Chamber of Commerce and Region 2 Area Agency on Aging. Nita also leads the women’s ministry at her church in Bellefontaine.
Nita resides with her husband, Chad, their dog, Dakota, and cat, Tigger. She has three grown children and 5 grandchildren. In her spare time, she can be found writing for her blog, In the Whisper.
