Dianne Hickey

A founding member of Gifts with Grace, Dianne Hickey serves as the Secretary and Treasurer of the Board of Directors. Dianne has a passion for the community, empowering others to strengthen their personal, spiritual and professional growth. Born and raised in Medina County, Dianne has traveled the world courtesy of the United States Air Force and now resides in Logan County.
Dianne is a 25-year veteran and retired officer of the United States Air Force, currently serving as a federal civilian at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. Dianne enlisted in 1991 as a Russian linguist and received her commission in 1999 as an intelligence officer. She served twice as a commander of intelligence squadrons, leading all aspects of each organization and managing budgets in excess of six million dollars annually. Her military assignments included daily briefings to the Secretary and Chief of Staff of the Air Force at the Pentagon; providing weekly updates to the United Nations Headquarters as a Military Observer in Tbilisi, Georgia; teaching Russian language to military students at the Defense Language Institute; and leading the standup of three unique and diverse Air Force organizations. A graduate of Buckeye High School, Dianne earned a Master’s Degree in Business Administration, a Bachelor of Science in Russian Language and Psychology, and two Associate Degrees in Communication. Dianne has always been an active member in the communities she called home. Currently, she leads Union Station’s annual youth basketball tournament, is an active member of the Facilities and Planning Committee at Gretna Brethren Church, and volunteers her time with United Way. Dianne has been married to her husband, Jim, since 2006, when she also gained two amazing daughters who are now adults living in nearby Dayton and Cincinnati. |
